With all the flak mixed with praise that Zeds Dead has been receiving for their new album, it’s nice to see that they’re still down to release their BBC mix, which was recorded a few days prior to the release of their album. Just as anticipated, all the songs from their new EP made an appearance in the mix, as well as a few new remixes, such as Torro Torro’s new remix of “Cowboy”.
If anything, this mix proves that even if you dislike their new EP, Zeds Dead is still a major force to be reckoned with, and their production of stellar sounds seems to occur with ease and magnificent flow. The mix contains a fantastic rhythm, as you can tell that Zeds Dead focuses on how the mix alters mood overall, and not just on a song by song basis. It’s got parts that will chill you to the core, and other parts that will have your heart pounding out of your chest.
