At the end of every year, event promoters seek to put on the best event to bring everyone into the New Year. The best way to ensure a successful event is to have a killer lineup of DJs, amazing production, and the perfect venue. By attracting the hottest DJs, events are sure to attract a huge crowd. To end 2012 and kick off the New Year, LED presents announced that they would be bringing back their 18+ event, OMFG! NYE to the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. With their success in 2011, they decided to bring the event back to San Diego for the second year in a row. LED presents only has events in San Diego, but that is quite alright because there is growing market for EDM in San Diego.

I had a great experience at the first OMFG!, and I decided that I would go again. I purchased a one-day pass to the event. The event was held for two consecutive days. But, I was sold on the Day 1, Saturday, December 30th, 2012 lineup. The DJs that were set to perform in the following order: Audrey Napoleon, Walden, Jack Beats, Kill the Noise, Nervo, Nero (DJ Set), and Calvin Harris. The event began at 9pm and ended promptly at 4am. The wait in line was not bad at all, security and event staff were friendly and efficient. Once inside, staff handed out free foam poles that with the push of button turned into a bright color of your choice. As the event started, Audrey Napoleon jumped on stage and gave the audience exactly what they wanted: an electrifying performance. I have been to all kinds of events, from as small as local shows to the biggest music festival in the United States, Electric Daisy Carnival and Audrey Napoleon knew exactly how to captivate the crowd.

Although Audrey Napoleon was the opening act, she sure brought energy, charisma, and crowd-pleasing dance moves. Audrey Napoleon could have easily closed out the night and left the crowd with a memorable experience. The next set that was really powerful was by Kill the Noise. This DJ really gave all the bass heads the beats they had been hoping for. Just when you thought the bass couldn’t be dropped any harder or longer, Kill the Noise stood to prove you wrong. The dynamic duo Nervo showed up late, but offered a sincere apology and immediately made up for lost time. Something about Nervo as a duo of female DJs just makes you fall instantly in love with them and their unique outfits.

Overall, the event was a success. Be sure to check out the next, big LED presents event: LED Anniversary on Sunday, February 17th, 2013. The lineup will be announced soon!
