Yesterday, OWSLA put out the music video for bass legend Kill The Noise’s Baroque-inspired, glitch-step masterpiece “BLVCK MVGIC (Kill The Noise Pt. 2).” This comes about five months after the release of his Black Magic EP last fall. Directed by esteemed animator Lee Hardcastle, the video take an other worldly vantage point, exactly what we would expect from Kill The Noise, taking us to a place where Christianity and ungodly, fictional creatures intersect. The result is extreme violence, whereby the chorus, chickening to a drum and bass tempo, enters the video.
Just a warning for the faint of heart: This video does feature a lot violence, albeit between clay people, but the gore and violence are still there. I like to think I’m pretty desensitized to violence and gore, but the ending to this video left me feeling a little unsettled.
