Euphoria Music Festival is giving one DJ the chance of a lifetime to play a set at its second annual concert on April 12 & 13 in New Braunfels, Texas. The line up is already headlined by Datsik, Tommy Trash, & Felix Cartal.

The competition required DJ’s to upload an original, remixed, or mixed set to the contest page. A tally of close to 300 artists entered, and voting is well on its way. Voters can go to the contest page, and listen to each set, and vote on their favorite. Voters can vote up to five times per week.

I spoke to DJ Angel Valentin who is currently in the thick of the competition, for his thoughts on the opportunity thats within his grasp.

“It would mean everything to me. Playing a festival in my home state, to people who have never heard of me and be given a chance to blow them away with my style and energy. Thats something all DJ’s want to feel…its a really good feeling knowing that the following I have is being supportive in the competion.”

Valentin’s mix “Don’t Pass Out With Your Shoes On” is currently in 17th place, but he hopes for it to move up to the top 5 before February 27. After that the public voting will close and the top 5 sets will be judged by the Euphoria Music Festival staff who will select and announce a winner on March 1st.
