After a few long months of rumors about Daft Punk’s supposed new album, as well as rumors about their upcoming European tour, it looks like we’ve gotten some official confirmation.
The email you see above was accidentally sent out by a live-music alert service called Songkick to those who subscribed to Daft Punk. It confirms all the rumors we have been hearing and speculating on.
Songkick was getting hammered with questions digging for confirmation through their Twitter page, and their response: “Unfortunately, this is not confirmed – the lineup has been removed + locked down until the official announcement.”
This suggests that Coachella and Daft Punk have locked in the commitment, just not the details.
